Trust in God: an evaluative review of the literature and research proposal

Until recently, psychologists have conceptualised and studied trust in God (TIG) largely isolation from contemporary work theology, philosophy, history, biblical studies that has examined the topic with increasing clarity. In this article, we first review primary ways measured TIG. Then, draw on conceptualizations of TIG outside psychology religion to provide a conceptual map for how might be related theorised predictors outcomes. Finally, research agenda future empirical area, as well practical applications counsellors religious leaders.
